This pool will operate for a period of twelve (12) months from the end of the review period. Inclusion in the pool does not guarantee a placement.
The Forest Products Commission (FPC) was established by the Western Australian Government in November 2000 as a statutory authority and is responsible for managing commercial operations in Western Australia's native forests and plantation estate. The FPC supplies approximately 1.5 million tonnes per annum of forest products to local processing industries and export markets.

JOB DESCRIPTION
There are currently a number of existing vacant positions across the agency at Level 3 and 4 as a result of staff movements. The Job descriptions for these roles vary so please apply referring to either of the (2) JDF's attached to this advertisement.
(LEVEL 3) The Operations Officer supervises the works programs for all aspects of forest harvesting and establishment maintenance and roading operations in Plantations, Sandalwood or Native Forests. Liaising with contractors, customers and community on works being carried out in the field.
(LEVEL 4) The Forester develops and supervises contractor’s works programs for forest operations planning, establishment, harvesting, and management. The position will liaise with stakeholders and Statutory Authorities about works being carried out in the field.
