Your contribution:  As Director, Legislation and Governance you will deliver high level policy advice and strategic analysis on governance and legislative matters relating to the establishment of a governance structure, statutory body and enabling legislation for the state’s war memorial, Anzac Square, Brisbane. You will:

• consult, collaborate and coordinate with stakeholders, relevant government agencies, and the community on the establishment of a statutory body and associated board;
• develop high level policy advice on the consolidation of state government veterans-related activities and advice, and establishment of appropriate resources for provision of advice and delivery of support services;
• plan, cost and budget for the human and physical resources and contractual arrangements required to enable the preferred governance model to effectively manage Anzac Square, including the scope of future requirements and funding sources;
• establish the mechanisms to accept community, corporate and philanthropic donations administered as a Deductible Gift Recipient (DGR) trust fund which complies with relevant Commonwealth and Queensland Government Acts concerning DGR trust funds;
• prepare complex and quality submissions, briefs, reports and correspondence on governance and legislative matters;
• develop and maintain strong collaborative strategic partnerships through consultation, negotiation and networks;
• undertake special projects as directed associated with establishing a governance structure; and
• model best practice work practices, values and behaviours.
