The Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) works in partnership with 15 National Boards to implement the national regulatory scheme for health professionals. The purpose of health practitioner regulation is to protect the public by ensuring that only health practitioners who have the skills, qualifications and knowledge to provide safe care are registered.

The Senior Business Process Analyst – Practice Lead will contribute their professional, specialist and technical skills in leading business and/or process analysis services, traceability management, stakeholder engagement and deployment support services for new or revised processes, ongoing application fixes, enhancements and upgrades to ensure the efficient and effective operation of AHPRA’s services and applications. The role will lead and oversee the Business Process Analyst function within AHPRA, develop AHPRA’s way of working and ensure BA’s are following best practices.

This is a full time, fixed term contract for a period of 12 months.

In this role you will:

  • Contribute to building a brand based on high performance, customer service and continuous improvement
  • Establish and monitor mechanisms to ensure clear flows of communication within and across the operating model and to key stakeholders around current and planned work, and the operations and performance of the service stream
  • Analyse and estimate feasibility, time and compatibility of proposed process or function changes with other business functions and systems Contribute to the development of business cases and tender documentation
  • Work with solution designers and architects to translate requirements into system and business focussed solution specifications, including system and business use cases
  • Review test cases working pro-actively with relevant testers to ensure full alignment and traceability from customer journey maps, business requirements, high level design, functional specifications to application testing

 As the ideal candidate, you will demonstrate the following:

  • Relevant tertiary qualification and minimum 7 years of experience required in the BA area
  • Demonstrable base of expertise across the required discipline(s) including: understanding of relevant business operational areas including HR/Finance, corporate functions, regulatory operations and board services
  • Strong written and oral communication skills with the ability to negotiate with and influence senior level management
  • Experience working within project lifecycle methodologies and familiarity including Agile, Waterfall, RAD etc
  • Experience leading teams and building best practice frameworks
