An opportunity exists for a highly skilled System Engineer for an exciting opportunity to work with a leading Defence & Space company.
Purpose:
A Systems Engineer is to provide requirements management, system design and definition, develop technical solutions, documentation activities, and system testing through to customer acceptance.
Responsibilities:
- Carry out delegated systems engineering activities for assigned projects.
- Responsible for requirements management, system design and definition, and system testing through to customer acceptance.
- Ensure design for maintenance and support.
- Provide suggestions to improve the system engineering process.
- Ensure that the assigned aspects of the overall engineering effort for the project are controlled, efficient, and achieving the required outcomes for the project.
- Analyse problems and specify, design and implement a solution to these problems.
- Support sea and acceptance testing trials.
- Be responsible for all relevant documentation, development and testing of the hardware project.
- Provide ongoing support to production during the manufacture of hardware products.
- Liaise and communicate with the relevant Project Managers.
- Liaise with Quality Director on quality matters.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Bachelor degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Mathematics or a related discipline.
- At least 5 years post graduate experience.
- Hold professional engineering qualifications sufficient for Graduate Membership of the Institute of Engineers, Australia (not mandatory)
- Experience in Defence related projects based on the ASDEFCON or similar Defence model.
- Ability to hold an Australian Defence Security Clearance
