The Role

An opportunity has become available for a Director (Integrated Care Alliance) to join Gold Coast Health (GCH)where the focus of our 9000-strong team is on providing world-class health care to over 550,000 people living in the Gold Coast, and northern New South Wales region.

You will take responsibility for

  • Provide strategic leadership to the Integrated Care Alliance team
  • Be the first point of responsive and timely contact for the Integrated Care Alliance unit
  • Provide advice to the Alliance Leadership Group on the financial Key Performance Indicators
  • Monitor current trends, emerging issues and developments in Integrated Care Alliance

Requirements for the role

  • A Postgraduate qualification in a relevant management field is highly desirable
  • A tertiary qualification, or equivalent, in a health related discipline/profession would be highly regarded

Salary information

  • Temporary full time position (18 months with the possibility of extension)
  • Base salary ranging from $146 228 - $152 929 per annum
  • Up to 12.75% employer superannuation contribution
  • 17.5% leave loading

About (Unit)

Integrated Care Alliance Delivery Model, is being jointly developed between the Gold Coast Hospital and Health Service and the Primary Health Network. The patient-centred model will bring together the multi-professional teams within the GCHHS with General Practice and community-based teams including non-government organisations, to produce a single system that can minimise duplication and maximise care coordination within a holistic framework. The intent of the Model is to produce the best patient outcomes at the lowest cost.

The Model aims to reduce the demand on the Gold Coast acute sector by:

  • Reducing presentations to the emergency department
  • Improving capacity of specialist outpatients
  • Decreasing admission rates (including unplanned admissions)
