This Key NSW Government department is seeking a Policy Officer with a clinical or nursing background to provide support and contribute to the policies and strategies aligned with the Department’s key objectives.
Located in North Sydney, this is an initial 4 month contract with the possibility of extension.
Key accountabilities include:
- Providing advice and support to interpret and apply policies, procedures relevant to policy development
- Assisting in the preparation of high quality written advice in the form of reports, briefs, policy, discussion papers or circulars to inform or respond to requests
- Liaising with key staff and stakeholder representatives to communicate objectives, and priorities.
Qualifications:
- Nursing, Midwifery and/or other clinical qualifications
- Good communication, stakeholder management and problem solving capabilities
- Strong attention to detail
- Understand performance outcomes and measures for key project goals, and contribute to monitoring, reporting and communication requirements
- Government and clinical experience will be highly regarded
