Our Government Services division is seeking a Combat Systems Engineer to join the LHD Project. The role is based at Garden Island in Sydney.
Responsibilities
- Undertaking technical investigations;
- Prepare technical engineering documentation including design reports, data requirements, safety assessment, and engineering change proposals;
- Raising and progressing engineering change proposal documentation in accordance with the clients process;
- Contribute to, develop and execute the business development and engineering vision that achieves the goals and business objectives of the company;
- Assist with preparation and/or review of work instructions and maintenance schedules;
- Working under the instruction of the project supervisor to complete engineering tasks as required;
- Designing and documenting work to a high standard, including work on engineering reports and contract documents;
- Completing work within negotiated standards of time, cost and quality;
- Meeting legal requirements relating to the project;
- Development of integrated systems open architectures;
- Combat Mission Systems, Tactical data links and communications systems;
Requirements
- Knowledge of radar and sonar systems;
- Degree in mechanical or electrical engineering
- Minimum of 5 years’ relevant experience in combat / weapons engineering
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience in a Defence or related technical industry
- The ability to obtain a Defence Security Clearance
