Investment and Trade Officer
- $82,574 - $93,689 (Plus Superannuation)
- Fixed Term - 3 Years
- Usual hours of work: Full Time (flexibility may be available)
- Usual work location: Traralgon (flexibility may be available)
This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced and results driven professional, to support Regional Development Victoria's commitment in developing rural and regional Victoria.
Reporting to the Manager, Investment and Trade, this role will be focused on managing economic development initiatives for the region's businesses and communities.
To achieve this, the Investment and Trade Officer will:
- Engage with stakeholders in response to new investments within region
- Facilitate economic development initiatives and government assistant for businesses and communities
- Support the small business sector within the region and build strong relationships with all stakeholders
- Prepare complex reports and documentation and brief senior management regarding activities within the region
The successful candidate will be a seasoned business development professional, who will ideally have knowledge of related industries and environments, along with the region. This will also suit someone who has a background in Economics or Economic Development.
Additionally, the attributes to complement this role will be:
- Exceptional organisational / project management skills and working to tight deadlines
- Organisational awareness and understanding of the economic and political environment
- Acute problem-solving skills and ability to develop solutions
- Excellent stakeholder management and written communication skills - Proven ability to prepare and present complex documentation
