As an experienced Clinical Neuropsychologist you will have exceptional and extensive skills in communication, patience, team work and working autonomously in order to treat individuals fittingly. You will join a multidisciplinary team providing comprehensive neuropsychology to clients who have acquired brain injury. The interdisciplinary rehabilitation model of care uses case management principles requiring all members of the team to work collaboratively to achieve client centred goals.

 

Hunter Brain Injury Services (HBIS) is a standalone HNE Health facility providing rehabilitation to clients with acquired brain injuries across a five bed Transitional Living Unit (TLU) and a community outpatient program. The service also provides Case Management to both non-compensation and compensation clients which can involve regular liaison with CTP insurers, Lifetime Care and Support (LTCS) and iCare.

 

HBIS staff have a wealth of knowledge, substantial experience and dedication to the service. The multidisciplinary team is made up of clinical neuropsychologists and psychologists, physiotherapists, occupational therapists, speech pathologists, social workers, case managers, a dietitian and rehabilitation assistants. Team work, clinical support and ongoing education are integral components of the service. HBIS is located a mere 500m from the beach.

 

Newcastle is the second largest city in NSW is located two hours’ drive north of Sydney. The prime location boasts stunning beaches, gorgeous coastline, the states largest salt water lake, beautiful architecture, wide and varied dining options and a working port there is plenty to like. With great connection to other capital cities via flights you will have the facilities of a large city with the community of a big country town. With a temperate climate offering mild winters and warm summers add to the liveability of the region which features a world class university and numerous public, private and preschool options.
