MSWA is a large not-for-profit service provider registered with both the National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS) and WA NDIS and the Disability Services Commission (DSC). We have over 40 years’ experience in supporting people living with MS and other neurological conditions; including those with high or complex care needs, due to associated disability.
We employ and train support workers to provide a range of in home supports for individuals accessing services through our DSC block funded programs and with individual funding through the NDIS, WANDIS and the DSC.
The Role
We are currently seeking applications for Community Based Support Workers to join our team.
POSITIONS AVAILABLE IMMEDIATELY IN THE ARMADALE, FREMANTLE, ROCKINGHAM AND MANDURAH AREAS.
You will be providing person centered services enabling our Members/clients to remain living in the comfort of their own home.
Duties may include
- Personal care including; showering, dressing, toileting, use of incontinence aids, bowel care, & / or catheter care.
- Domestic assistance.
- Social support.
- Meal preparation.
- Medication management.
- Hoisting/transfers
Essential criteria
- 6-12 months experience in a similar role.
- A positive and friendly attitude
- Demonstrated ability to work with people with differing care needs.
- Good communication skills; both written and verbal.
- National Police Clearance of 6 months or less validity, (or willingness to apply for one and provide prior to commencing employment.)
- Current Australian “C” class, driver’s license with no restrictions.
- Reliable and roadworthy vehicle.
- Current CPR certificate no older than 12 months, or ability to obtain one prior to the commencement of employment.

- Flexible availability for shifts between 7.00am and 10.00pm Monday to Sunday.
