The company
This leading government department is on the forefront of safety, prevention and education within Community Safety with the purpose to reduce risk. 
With a recently launched 5 year Community Safety program plan you will be part of achieving a safer community that is resilient to emergency situations.

The role
In this role you will manage program of works, reporting and scheduling of Community Work Group and sub-groups for the Community Safety Directorate such as Community + Build Environment Research, Campaigns + Communications and  Demonstrating Value. 

Role responsibilities

• Support sponsor, chair and sub-group chairs
• Manage programs and ensure on-time delivery of projects
• Co-ordinate with internal and external project stakeholders
• Project Management Office
• Act as Secretariat for the Community Working Group and Sub-groups
• Report on project performance

Essential skills & experience

• Project management experience
• Experience from the Public or Community sector (desired but not essential)
• Safety knowledge (desired but not essential)
• Good communication skills
• Ability to lead a team
• Solid negotiation skills
• Good team working skills
