Design & Build are currently inviting applications for the role of Capital Works Project Support Officer (General Open Space) to join a Council in Melbourne's inner west for a ten-month temporary contract with an immediate start and possibility to extend.

As the successful candidate, you will be responsible for the planning, coordination and delivery of this Council’s Open Space Capital Works projects. In doing so, you will deliver $1 million of open space upgrades including bollards, fencing, seating, garden beds and more.

Key Requirements:

• Tertiary qualification in project management or a related discipline
• Relevant experience in government project delivery and Parks Capital Works Projects
• Sound understanding of horticulture and landscape construction principles
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to write reports and prepare external correspondence
• Knowledge of best practice contracting, quoting and tendering practices
