We are currently looking for a high calibre, highly skilled industry expert to Lead a team of maintenance engineers across Water NSW’s portfolio of assets.
We are NSW’s bulk water supplier, river operator and your one-stop shop for licensing, water trades and water information. We supply two thirds of water used in NSW from our 42 dams, rivers and pipelines to regional towns, irrigators, Sydney Water and local water utilities.

Key to your new role will be leading the Maintenance Engineering team in providing direct engineering support to maintenance teams across the portfolio of WaterNSW assets, ensuring asset related risks are understood, appropriately prioritised and actioned in a manner which minimise risks to business continuity. You will manage and drive the continuous improvement of WaterNSW maintenance engineering processes, in collaboration with Asset Capability Teams and determine the objectives and priorities of the Maintenance Engineering team to achieve alignment with the strategic direction of Asset Maintenance and Services.
About you
- Demonstrated whole-of-life asset management experience, including determining, analysing, reporting and improving asset performance; including for reliability, availability, maintainability, safety, compliance, cost and risk.
- Experience in Leading a multidisciplinary engineering team providing coaching and mentoring to aid their development and to ensure effective delivery of services.
- Demonstrated recent success in embedding a safety culture and mindset within a front line operational business function and driving continuous improvement
- Demonstrated experience in complex asset related failure investigations to determine the root-cause with a proven background in providing and implementing corrective actions & improvements to meet operational needs
