This role will provide high level authorative policy and strategic advice and information to the Marine and Coastal Council to support them in providing guidance on the development of policy and strategy to the Minister for Energy, Environment and Climate Change. The position sits within the Policy and Strategy Unit and works closely with all the coastal policy and programs areas of the Department.
The role involves extensive stakeholder management and supporting the Council to maintain working relationships with the Department of Environment, Land, Water and Planning (DELWP), government department and agencies, researchers, scientists, institutions, community and commercial interests to support effective outcomes in coastal planning and management.
If you have demonstrated knowledge and experience in coastal and marine management and planning, and a tertiary qualification in a natural resource management or policy development, you are strongly encouraged to apply.
This is a fixed term position for a period of 3 years.
