Your responsibilities will include
Providing direction and day to day supervision of an assigned maintenance work crew engaged in undertaking horticultural park and roadside maintenance works. You will plan daily work, accurately measure and calculate materials required, and undertake mowing, turf management, trimming, pruning, weed control, mulching, planting, parks infrastructure maintenance and general labouring as required to achieve required outcomes.
To be successful in this role you must possess
A MR licence, AC/DC certification, Construction Induction Card and a Certificate III in Horticulture or other relevant field. You will have experience in a similar horticultural role, the demonstrated ability to lead a work team to achieve operational outcomes, the physical fitness to undertake the manual tasks of the role safely, and computer and communication skills sufficient to complete required administrative duties and be a positive member of our team.

Work Location
Please note that whilst the current work location for this position is specified above, staff may be required to transfer to any of council's work locations with notice. Council currently has administration offices located at Caboolture, Strathpine and Redcliffe as well as depots, libraries and a range of other facilities located throughout the region.
