About the role:
In 2016, Sunshine Coast Council adopted the Smart City Implementation Program (SCIP) which outlines Smart City solutions to create a smart and digitally connected Maroochydore City Centre and across the region.
This role offers the opportunity to be involved in the Smart City Program, supporting service delivery across Council where you will work in partnership with assigned client groups, and provide technical advice and analysis of business systems and processes.
About you:
The ideal candidate will have a strong project management and solution designing background, with proven ability to package a program of work from various strategies, design modelling, research, initiatives and new policy proposals.
As someone who would be required to communicate at an executive level, you will possess strong communication and interpersonal skills along with the ability deliver on projects in the midst of significant and contentious issues.
Design, specification, problems solving and analytical skills will be strengths of yours, along with an interest and understanding of current innovative and emerging technologies and opportunities.
Additionally, you will have tertiary qualifications in Information Technology, Computer Science or Electrical Engineering (or other relevant degree). Substantial proven industry experience in Technology Fields is also a must.
