Work as part of the broader policy team to development and implementation of coastal and marine management reforms as required by the department. You will be required to lead and manage discrete policy projects, prepare briefings and advice for the Minister, DELWP executives, Marine and Coastal Council, and other relevant parties. The ideal candidate will be able to produce project plans that are clear and concise and as well as have the ability to work with the project team and manager to update and adapt the plans as needed. They will ensure risks and issues are identified and addressed and formulate and communicate public policy options and recommendations promptly.
It is desirable that the applicant possesses a tertiary qualification in a natural resource management or policy development as well as experience in coastal and marine management and planning.
This is a fixed term position available for a period of 3 years.
