About the role

MercyCare is seeking an experienced Case Manager to join our Family Group Homes team in Mirrabooka on a full-time basis of 76 hours per fortnight. This position is contracted to January 2019 and subject to ongoing funding.

The successful candidate will be responsible for providing case management services to children and young people in placement within MercyCare’s Family Group Homes. This includes provision of support and advocacy to children and young people in out of home care and ensuring Specialist Carers continue to meet the needs of children and young people in Family Group Homes.

Minimum requirements

  • Tertiary qualification in relevant Human Services
  • Demonstrated experience working with children and young people
  • Demonstrated knowledge and understanding of issues related to children and young people who have experienced trauma, attachment and relationship difficulties
  • Ability to work under pressure within a busy environment and meet case management reporting and recording requirements
  • Availability to participate in Afterhours/On Call Roster
  • Current Working With Children Card
  • Current and Valid Driver’s License
  • National Police Clearance (obtained within the last 6 months)
