About this role
 
We are looking for a talented and degree qualified information specialist with demonstrated experience and skills in records management and data analysis who has excellent people skills and problem-solving abilities.
 
Administrator skills in HPE Records Manager (TRIM) are essential. 
 
This is a fantastic opportunity to play a key role in helping the Council realise its strategic goal to support high quality decision-making based on the provision of quality data, and appropriate and timely information.
 
Where you'll be working
 
The Medical Council of NSW is responsible for ensuring medical practitioners are fit to practise medicine. This is achieved by ensuring registered doctors maintain proper standards of conduct and competence via a range of programs and services.
 
The Council works alongside the Health Care Complaint Commission to fairly and efficiently manage complaints about medical practitioners with the overriding objective of public protection. With increasing community expectations and recent changes in the regulatory environment, the work of the Medical Council of NSW has grown significantly.
 
The Medical Council is situated in the beautiful Gladesville Hospital grounds, with parking and easy access to public transport.
 
What you'll be doing
 
You will have responsibility for the safe custody and management of the Council’s confidential data and records management systems. This includes responsibility for ensuring staff are trained and supported to access and use information of the Council and other entities. .
 
This position works across teams to advise staff on good practice in information management including relevant legislative responsibilities. It also initiates and manages improvement projects associated with records and information management.
