Your key responsibilities will include:
- Provide strategic advice in the development, implementation and evaluation of communication strategies to achieve agreed outcomes.
- Provide advice to clients in regard to communication outputs.
- Establish and maintain positive, effective and proactive relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
What we are looking for?
You will be assessed on your ability to demonstrate the following key capabilities, knowledge and experience. Within the context of the responsibilities described above under ‘Your key responsibilities', the ideal applicant will be someone who can demonstrate the following:
- Demonstrated experience in corporate or internal communications.
- Demonstrated experience using email marketing software (e.g. Mailchimp, Vision 6, Campaign Monitor)
- High-level ability to plan and implement communication strategies, including the development of creative communication solutions and tools.
- High-level ability to manage communication activities within a multi-disciplinary team to ensure effective outcomes are delivered on time and within budget.
- Highly-developed written and online communication and editorial skills, including the ability to translate complicated information into simple language suitable for the target audience.
- Ability to communicate, negotiate, network and consult with a broad range of clients and stakeholder groups.
- Problem-solving skills that draw on contemporary communication practices to provide specific solutions to communication issues and needs of a complex organisation.
Mandatory qualifications/professional registration/other requirements
- Experience in corporate and internal communications planning and execution with very strong writing and editing ability.
- Experience in a government communications team/environment is highly desirable.
- University qualifications in communications or similar are highly desirable
