About the role:


Wandarrah (Inala) Pre School and Community Centre, an affiliate of C&K, has an opportunity for an experienced and qualified Early Childhood Teacher commencing 16th July 2018. As the teacher, you will be responsible for leading the development and implementation of a quality care and education program for young children. You will develop, plan, implement and/or oversee a program which reflects sound early childhood principles, relates theory to practice, acknowledges parent values and beliefs and the multicultural nature of the community and encourages partnerships with parents.
 
This position will be permanent part time and would require you to work every Monday - Thursday
 
Ideal candidates will hold:

• Bachelor Degree in Early Childhood or equivalent (recognised by ACECQA as an early childhood teaching qualification)
• Current registration with the Queensland College of Teachers
• Previous experience in a Teaching role in an Early Childhood environment
• Knowledge of the C&K Building Waterfalls Curriculum
• Knowledge of National Quality Framework and Standards ("NQF" and "NQS"), the Early Years Learning Framework ("EYLF")
• Current paid or exemption Blue Card
• Current First Aid/ CPR including Asthma and Anaphylaxis certificates
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills

• Demonstrated leadership, teamwork and mentoring skills
• A willingness to commit to shared learning and critical reflection as a way of informing, challenging and inspiring new ideas and innovation.
• An established ability to develop strong relationships with families and make community connections.
• Display sensitivity, a sense of humor, flexibility, sincerity, integrity and a high level of awareness of the importance of confidentiality.

 
The service is looking for a forward thinking teacher who is extremely motivated and open to new ideas. They will have the ability to communicate effectively and are able to deliver an outstanding, inclusive and exciting program. Collaboration with peers and Centre/Committee Management is vital. 
 
About the service:
Wandarrah Preschool is C&K Affiliated service. The service has been established in Inala for over 40 years, The Centre has a focus on the Aboriginal & Torres Strait Islander children & families ensuring the Centre is open and inclusive to all children.
 
The Centre provides an exciting Early Years learning environment which includes incursions/excursions, music, cultural activities, ELA program.
 
Wandarrah is a Three Unit Centre all placements are full due to the highly skilled Educators, ongoing Quality Improvement Plans and ability to work with the Indigenous Management Committee & families.
The Service is very proud of the Exceeding National Quality Framework standards in all 7 areas'.
