Kelly Government Solutions are a leading supplier of recruitment solutions to Local, State & Federal Government. We are looking to secure the services of a Property Asset Officer for a permanent role based in Sydney. The primary purpose of the role is to provide asset inspection and civil repair work delivery management across various projects to determine the technical integrity of the assets and to coordinate repair of assets as required.
Key Responsibilities:
- Facilitate and manage the inspection of assets to reduce equipment downtime and customer impact, including the implementation of a staged, end-to-end assessment and repair process.
- Project manage, track and report on progress of maintenance works and projects to ensure works are on schedule and implement remediation strategies where there are delays.
- Manage external service providers to ensure that the work is delivered in accordance with the contract defined technical specifications, safety and other business requirements; and evaluate quotes / claims for work to ensure best commercial outcome is achieved.
- Providing asset management system-based work orders and other asset data collection devices
- Where required, undertake detailed asset inspections, utilizing WHS, EEO and Environmental Management procedures within the workplace.
Criteria for selection
- Experience in reporting and managing assessment reports.
- Good computer skills and proficient in the use of finance and asset management systems/databases and Microsoft Office, especially EXCEL.
- Proven project management skills and experience in managing multiple projects and contracts in a construction or maintenance environment and with the proven ability to manage external service providers.
- Demonstrated computer skills in the use of word processing, spreadsheets and databases.
- Knowledge of and experience working with GIS is highly desirable.
Hold a current NSW Driver’s Licence.
