Position Summary:

The Manager Digital Marketing and Online Communities is a strategic leadership position responsible for leading the execution of, and providing strategic direction for digital marketing, online community relations and digital literacy activity across the Department of Health and Human Services (DHHS). The role will establish a culture of insight driven digital marketing to maximise performance, support strategies, plans and campaigns, and identify market, consumer and stakeholder trends and needs and use them to assist with program and activity planning.

Leading a small social media and communities team, you will provide best practice strategy, advice and operational support on all digital marketing and online community issues - as well as facilitating training and knowledge exchange - to other teams within the Digital Engagement and Strategy Unit, across the Communications and Media Branch, and throughout the broader department and and external stakeholder groups.

As appropriate, you may also be required to provide support to other teams across the Branch as and when required, including participating in out of hours media and emergency rosters, providing support for public emergencies, large-scale communications campaigns and other high priority projects, to contribute to the effective management of work across the Communications and Media Branch and department.
