  • Appointment will be for up to 3 years.

Your responsibilities will include

Assisting with the assessment of a range of development applications in accordance with statutory requirements and the provisions of  the Moreton Bay Regional Council Planning Scheme, policies and procedures. You will assist with the development of strategies and masterplans, undertake site inspections and investigations, and provide advice on planning matters to a range of stakeholders. 

To be successful in this role you must possess

A degree in Urban and Regional Planning recognised by the Planning Institute of Australia and a working knowledge of the Sustainable Planning Act, other relevant legislation, industry standards and best practices.  You will have exceptional communication and time management skills to effectively liaise, consult, negotiate with and advise a range of stakeholders whilst competently managing conflicting priorities to meet deadlines.

Work Location

Please note that whilst the current work location for this position is specified above, staff may be required to transfer to any of council's work locations with notice. Council currently has administration offices located at Caboolture, Strathpine and Redcliffe as well as depots, libraries and a range of other facilities located throughout the region.
