About the role

Reporting to the Director Major Programs this role will be responsible for the overall management and direction of Emergency Management related functions within NSW Local Land Services. Day to day this role will work with both internal and external stakeholders to establish frameworks and governance protocols regarding Local Land Services response to emergencies.

The role will be fundamental in ensuring Local Land Services is equipped with the skills, resources, systems and business processes to deliver emergency management functions and will be required to work collaboratively across the organisation to deliver outcomes.  

To be successful in this role you will have a detailed understanding of emergency management procedures particularly biosecurity and natural disaster risk management and response. You will also have extensive experience in leading across the emergency management cycle of prevention, preparedness, response and recovery. Field based experience is desirable but not essential.
