Your new company
A large Victorian Government Department is currently seeking experienced Procurement Officers to join their busy Procurement team.
Your new role
As a Procurement Officer you will be working within a team to provide support to your colleagues in acquisitions and contract management. You will be responsible for a variety of procurement activities and specific functions. However, your focus is to ensure correspondence is managed accordingly and all stakeholder groups stay informed.
Your role will be mainly geared around the administration side of procurement, particularly in the early stages of your engagement. Your colleagues and peers will need to feel confident in your ability to stay organised to ensure all department objectives are met.
What you'll need to succeed
Your skills and previous experience in contract administration and tender support will be the key to finding success with this role. There will be elements of Contract Management, Contract Administration, Sourcing and Tendering so previous exposure to these procurement activities is vital. Seasoned Procurement all-rounders will be able to adapt to this role with ease.
What you'll get in return
On offer is a 6 month contract at VPS4-5 equivalent rates dependent on experience with the likelihood of extension. Working in brand new offices located in the CBD extremely close to trams and trains with an array of cafes and food options at your doorstep.
