Project Officer
• Temporary , Full time up to 12 months
• Location: Chippendale
• Clerk Grade 7/8, Salary ($94,782 – $104,918), plus employer’s contribution to superannuation and annual leave loading

The Department of Justice delivers legal, court and supervision services to the people of NSW by managing courts and justice services, implementing programs to reduce crime and re offending, managing custodial and community-based correctional services, protecting rights and community standards and advising on law reform and legal matters.

Our aim is to be recognised as world leaders in delivering evidence-based, rehabilitative interventions with young people who come into contact with the criminal justice system. We supervise and support young people in custody and in the community and manage early intervention and diversion schemes.
About the role
Reporting to the Manager Risk and Compliance, you will perform project management and support activities to contribute to the development and delivery of a range of assignments in line with established objectives.
As the Project Officer, you will be involved in:
• Preparing and maintaining project documentation for monitoring and evaluation purposes.
• Communicating with key internal and external stakeholders to coordinate and facilitate exchange of information
• Gather, collate and compile data from various sources to support project management and ensure project completion is within stipulated time frames and in line with project plans
• Preparing project briefs to support firm decision-making and planning
Essential Requirements
• Relevant tertiary qualifications or equivalent experience.
• Experience in research and evaluation/analysis of evidence based interventions.
• Understanding of current contemporary juvenile and criminal justice issues, policy and intervention developments, trends and initiatives.
• Cleared working with children check for paid employment
The Child Protection (Working with Children) Act 2012 requires persons engaged in children related work to have Working with Children clearances. If successful in this role you will be required to provide a Working with Children Check clearance number prior to commencing in the role.
