City West Water is excited to announce the launch of its 2019 Graduate Program. Be part of a dynamic and customer focused business that puts the customer first and benefits the community.

A role with us will see you join 450 people including engineers, planners, surveyors and various environmental experts working across our sites in the western suburbs of Melbourne.

Finishing your university degree and joining the workforce is an exciting step in unlocking your potential. Our graduate program is designed to do just that. Over a two year rotation program, we will immerse you in a range of experiences across City West Water. With ongoing learning and dedicated support along the way, this is an amazing opportunity to begin your career with a water industry leader.

About our program

We’re offering 2 roles with rotations in various areas and are looking for Engineering graduates.

The graduate program is aligned to a mindset of ongoing growth and learning – either in a classroom setting or practically speaking through hands on projects, with ongoing support from our Executive Leadership Team, Mentors, colleagues, and our Learning & Development team.

City West Water graduates are part of the industry that keeps the world’s most liveable city thriving. Whilst being deeply immersed in our business you’ll also undertake ongoing professional development and expand your networks with the broader Melbourne water sector.  

There will be elements of the program that you will experience together as a graduate cohort, such as training and networking events; aimed at setting you up for the most valuable experience – while in a graduate role and beyond.

What you’ll bring:

• Engineering graduates (Civil, Mechanical or Environmental)
• A ‘can do attitude’ and a flexible approach to managing changing priorities in a fast paced environment
• Proactive and high attention to detail
• Excellent interpersonal skills including communication (both verbal and written) and problem solving
• A customer first mentality, putting the customer at the forefront of every decision you make
• Ability to work autonomously and as part of a team
• Commitment to professional learning and self-development
   

You will need to have completed your qualifications within the last two years to qualify for this program.
