Opportunity for an experienced policy professional with agriculture experience
VPS5 equivalent | Approx. 2-3 month contract | ASAP start | Northern Suburb
Previous policy experience in Gov highly regarded| Not IT/engineering/finance

A branch of a large government department, located in the Northern suburbs, is looking for a Senior Policy Officer for a short term 2-3 month contract.

Some key responsibilities include:

Providing specialist and authoritative advice
Liaise and collaborate with various stakeholders
Work as part of a flexible team

To be successful, you will ideally have the following:

Strong policy experience
Prior experience working in government
Understanding of biosecurity, agriculture, ecology, etc.
Excellent communication and negotiation skills

The following will also be viewed favourably:

Background in animal, agricultural, natural resources management, environmental and/or veterinary sciences
Experience in biosecurity, environment or natural resource management policy and/or regulations
