About the role

MercyCare is seeking an experienced Intensive Case Manager to join the Enhanced Family Support Network for Mirrabooka and Joondalup, on a full-time basis, 76 hours per fortnight.

The successful candidate will be responsible for providing intensive support to individuals, families and children with moderate to high complex needs at risk of child protection intervention. The primary aim of the position is to prevent families coming into the child protection system by providing intensive in-home services and assisting with practical care needs, capacity building, reduce risks and enhance family functioning.

Minimum requirements

  • Relevant Tertiary level qualifications
  • Demonstrated experience working with families, children and young people
  • Demonstrated skills in facilitating decision making in complex family and organisational systems
  • Experience in developing and delivering case plans, safety plans or similar
  • Demonstrated understanding of culturally responsive approaches
  • Current Working with Children Card
  • Valid Driver’s License
  • National Police Clearance (obtained within the last 6 months)
