The Department of Tourism and Culture is seeking a Manager Aviation Route Development to support key decision makers within government and industry through the provision of strategic insights and high level advice based on sound research on aviation trends, market analysis, tourism and other relevant research findings and initiatives. To do this, you will need to have a working understanding of the global aviation industry and its impact on the tourism sector at the local, territory and national levels. You will also have proven experience in research, reporting and management of projects specific to the aviation industry.
Based in Darwin, the successful candidate will possess the following: a passion for uncovering and creating insights from research and analysis; highly developed strategic, conceptual and analytical skills including the ability to facilitate and manage projects, problem-solve and interrogate complex analytical data to elicit conclusions and recommend appropriate courses of action; exemplary communication skills both written and verbal; the ability to build and manage sound relationships and effectively engage with stakeholders; well-developed strategic, superior analytical and problem solving skills including the ability to interpret and manage the social, political and organisational environment; a professional attitude with a strong emphasis on quality and attention to detail; and have a solid appreciation of the aviation and tourism industries.
