The Partner Relationships Officer is responsible for supporting the Senior Partner Relationships Officer and the Assistant Director Partner Relationships. The role will assist in supporting the work required with the Partners based in their Region who are responsible for Partners in the Community delivering such services as Local Area Coordination (LAC) and/or Early Childhood Early Intervention (ECEI) services and Information, Linkages and Capacity building (ILC) functions. This will require you to have an understanding of the principles of community inclusion and capacity building of individuals, families and communities when guiding the focus and quality of the work of Partners.

You will:

  • Have an understanding of the principles of community inclusion and capacity building of individuals, families and communities when guiding the focus and quality of the work of Partners.
  • Build trust and respect and working in partnership with Partners in the Community to assist them to meet performance requirements.
  • Support the Regional Hub staff to build a clear understanding of the scope and associated expectations of responsibilities and build robust and responsive relationships with the Partners in the Community.
  • Possess sound relationship management and engagement experience, strong negotiation and liaison skills and superior communications, organisational skills and contract management skills in a human service delivery context.

Responsibilities include:

  • Liaise with Community Linkages Division and other internal stakeholders in business units across the Agency.
  • Develop effective working relationships to drive performance and quality outcomes from Partners in the Community.
  • Monitor and report on the performance of Partners in the Community, including monitoring and reporting of Partner KPIs, reviewing performance management reports and identifying trends and concerns with Partner performance in consultation with the Community Linkages Division.
  • Identify and actively notify the Senior Partner Relationships Officer of any issues and risks to implement corrective actions in consultation with Regional Hub staff and Community Linkages Division where escalation is required
  • Respond to complaints and quality assurance issues about Partners in the Community and manage Partner complaints according to established Agency complaints and compliance processes.

Skills:

  • Positive contemporary attitudes to people with disability.
  • Understanding of disability and its impact on individuals.
  • Experience with supporting people with a disability to maximise participation in the community
  • Competency, or ability to develop competency, in consistently applying assessment tools to identify support needs.
  • Competency with IT systems.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work closely with Participants and their carer/s.

Desirable

  • It is highly desirable that applicants have an understanding of or lived experience in disability.
  • Relevant qualifications in human services, allied health, disability and/or demonstrated experience.
