Reporting to the Executive Director, Business Technology Services you will have a high level of autonomy and be fully accountable for the staff, budget and resources of a large multi-disciplined branch. The role makes key decisions on strategic direction, policies, procedures, resources and funding.
As the Director, IT Strategy, Architecture & Solution Services you will lead and manage the development of the ICT strategic road map to support the future business model of the division and provide leadership, management, co-ordination and direction to teams delivering IT programs and project.You will need to demonstrate the alignment of technology solutions with current and future business needs to gain commitment for continued solutions development.
To be successful in this position you will need to keep abreast of relevant issues and developments in order to provide timely, accurate specialist advice. You will also need to manage interdependencies and balance competing demands to ensure program objectives are achieved.
Some of the key accountabilities for the role include:
- Undertake high level research and analysis to identify future ICT trends, and assess applicability to support business objectives
- Drive research, review, analysis and input for continual improvement into ICT strategies and systems to provide recommendations on the alignment, risk, financial value and contribution to organisational priorities
- Provide high level strategic consulting advice for future investment in ICT systems and processes to support business objectives
- Develop ICT architectures and standards for the Division that support the implementation of the ICT strategy
- Demonstrate the alignment of technology solutions with current and future business needs to gain commitment for continued solution development
- Lead and manage the planning and delivery of strategically aligned ICT programs and projects; ensuring the success of the programs and the realisation of benefits
- Manage, monitor and review progress on program and strategies against agreed measures
