Primary Purpose of the Role
The primary purpose of change management is to ensure that key initiatives are effectively embedded into the Service NSW frontline and in back-of-house operational areas, to maximise business and customer outcomes. It is a critical function supporting individuals in the organisation to adopt of new ways of working based on road mapped initiatives to be delivered in alignment to our organisational strategy and objectives. 


The Senior Change Advisor will assist in leading the design and delivery of change management strategies and plans, using a structured methodology and to maximise employee adoption of a project or initiative, and minimise resistance. The activities of this role focus on establishing effective communication to core business stakeholders, the Sponsor and the Project core team to ensure that the people impacts of a change are understood and an appropriate plan is put in place and executed against to manage the people side of the change.

Key accountabilities and responsibilities include:

  • Support the design and delivery of change services and strategies (e.g. scope, impact assessment, change management strategy, change management plan, risk mitigation, change communications, capability assessment, resistance management, coaching) aligned to the Service NSW change management framework and project management methodology
  • Provide advice to and consult with key stakeholders on complex and sensitive issues to enable sound decision-making on change management priorities and issues to ensure achievement of objectives, on time and to budget
  • Contribute to ongoing business change readiness and related risks (people, business continuity and organisational) to facilitate informed discussions with executive stakeholders and develop appropriate change management strategies 
  • Define and measure success metrics and monitor change progress
  • Support change management at the organisational level, increasing change capability and awareness across all levels

Essential Requirements:
  • MUST be an Australian Permanent Resident or Australian Citizen to apply for permanent roles within Service NSW.
  • 3 ? 5 years experience in organisational change management experience including creating and implementing change deliverables
  • Relevant tertiary and professional qualifications, such as HR management, business administration, change management or similar discipline, or equivalent professional experience
  • Experience working with multiple stakeholders across an enterprise with the ability to clearly articulate change plans to a variety of audiences at all levels
  • Understanding and ability to execute best practice change management principles, methodologies and tools
  • Demonstrated experience working in government organisations and/or large corporations will be an advantage.
