This well known Commonwealth Government agency employs thousands of Australians both permanently and on a contractual basis. They are currently seeking a Senior Operations Manager to oversee their Data & Analytics area in Melbourne on an initial 12 month contract.

In this role you will have approximately 30 staff reporting to you and you will report directly to the Program Manager. Your role will see you secure the functionality of the data and analytics teams to exceed expectations when delivering a range of data and analytics products.

Your responsibilities in this role include, but are not limited to the following:

• Oversee the daily operations of the data and analytics areas
• Empower the data and analytics teams with leadership and resources they need
• Positively represent the organisation at all times through a success-orientated and professional demeanour
• Establish policies and practices that promote positive work culture and vision
• Work under the direction of the Project Manager to accomplish short and long-term operational goals

To be considered for this role you must be able to demonstrate the following

• Proven experience as Senior Operations Manager or relevant role
• Demonstrable competency in strategic planning and business development
• Working knowledge of applied data analysis
• Working knowledge of performance/operations metrics
• Working knowledge of IT/Business infrastructure and MS Office
• Outstanding organisational and leadership abilities
• Excellent interpersonal and public speaking skills
• Aptitude in decision-making and problem-solving
• BSc/BA in Business Administration or relevant field
