The opportunity
We have an opportunity for an Administration Assistant to be a part of the Fleet Delivery Program within Transport for NSW. This position plays a key role in providing high level, efficient administrative support and will contribute towards the effective operation of the business unit, reporting to the Project Director, New Intercity Fleet.
Living the NSW Public Sector and organisational values, the Administration Assistant will perform a range of administrative duties to support senior management and the Branch, including co-ordination of meetings, diary maintenance, provision of a reception service, arrangement of training and travel, procurement of stationery and deliveries, and arrangement of the maintenance of office machines.
We are looking for an Administration Assistant who has experience in word processing services who has used appropriate software packages to prepare documents such as; memoranda, correspondence, reports and procedure manuals ensuring documents meet relevant standards and are completed in specified timeframes. The successful candidate will have experience working on large projects/programs.

The Executive Director, Fleet Program Delivery at Transport for New South Wales, leads a portfolio of work including a number of major rail projects (New Intercity Fleet, Sydney Growth Trains, Regional Rail Program, and Tangara Technology Upgrade), and delivery of the new inner harbour and Parramatta River ferries for Sydney. The Fleet Technical team works across the program and in partnership with Asset Standards Authority colleagues to promote best practice enable innovation and deliver the best possible engineering outcomes across the program and the broader Transport for New South Wales portfolio. Delivery of the overall Fleet Program will enable safer, more efficient, more accessible and more sustainable journeys for future passengers across the NSW rail and ferries networks.

Essential requirements
1. Demonstrated experience in an administration support role.
2. Experience in using Microsoft software packages including Word, Excel and PowerPoint and in preparing correspondence and reports as required.
