About the role
Lead the development and implementation of strategic and operational legal frameworks to support the Information and Privacy Commissioners’ legislative responsibilities and act as a legislative subject matter expert to a range of stakeholders to support the effective resolution of reviews, complaints and investigations and represents the Information Commissioner or the Privacy Commissioner in courts and tribunals and /or brief external legal counsel where required.
About you
Experience in leading a team to undertake legal/policy research and statistical analysis is highly advantageous. You will also have experience in managing complex and sensitive issues, providing sound legal/policy advice and delivering options and solutions often within tight timeframes.
The successful candidate will have:
- Tertiary qualifications in law and eligibility for a current NSW practising certificate.
- Proven experience in administrative law, advice and advocacy.
- Demonstrated significant experience working in administering legislation, decision making and, a sound understanding of investigation principles, process and practices.
