Ashley Wilkes at Design & Build is currently working in partnership with a Regional Victorian Local Council who are seeking multiple experienced Project Managers to join them a short and long term contracts. Regional council is located 250 km's north of Melbourne's CBD. Relocation opportunities available with accommodation and travel expenses provided.

Contributing as part of the Capital Works team, the successful candidates will be required to manage the design to build process for multiple interesting building and civil projects.
  
Duties will include but not limited to:
• Assist in managing a diverse capital works portfoliovalued up to $40million.  Projects will include; roads & drainage, chanelling and curbing, a community swimming pool, community centres, female change facillities, toilet blocks, 
• Liaising with all project stakeholders both internal and external
• Developing and coordinating the delivery of future projects relating to the council assets including buildings, public facilities, reserves and roads
• Ensure projects are completed to Commonwealth and State Legislation including OH'S, cost and time requirements
• Contribution to asset management and capital works planning activities
• Assist in the preparation, monitoring and control of project budgets
• Monitor projects through site visits to inspect, audit and make preliminary and progress assessments of projects and contract compliance
 
Requirements include:
• Tertiary qualification in Civil Engineering is highly desirable
• Proven experience and knowledge in the delivery of capital works projects 
• Developed skills in project management from project planning to delivery
• Experience in the preparation, checking and administration of Building & Civil Engineering design and construction contracts
• Strong understanding of Local Government policies and procedures
• Excellent written and oral communication skills
