  • • Degree level qualifications in Civil Engineering or a similar field.

  • • Demonstrated experience in budget management.

The role: This position sits within the Transport Assets Department of MidCoast Council and is responsible for the overall co-ordination of coastal, flooding and stormwater drainage engineering related services, expertise and advice.

The position also requires key inputs into development of Asset Management Plans including long term capital works programs, maintenance strategies and budget forecasts along with asset systems management, asset reporting and asset related enquires.

The package: Salary range $87,512.65 and $96,479.89 p.a. dependent on qualifications, skills and relevant experience of the successful candidate. Plus a 9.5% superannuation contribution.
Vehicle arrangements will also be available for the successful candidate.   

Location: The successful applicant will be required to work at the Forster Office of MidCoast Council located at 4 Breese Parade, Forster NSW 2428. You may also be required to be based from other Council sites.

Tenure: Permanent Full-Time.

  • Degree level qualifications in Civil Engineering or a similar field.
  • Extensive experience and a record of achievement in the coordination and delivery of coastal, flooding and stormwater drainage engineering related services, expertise and advice, within financial and time constraints, operating across a diverse organisation.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills that include the ability to support and coordinate multi discipline groups, influence stakeholders, resolve conflict and negotiate outcomes.
  • Demonstrated experience in budget management.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of the professional and legislative requirements within the scope of the role, including current Engineering Standards, Local Government Act, Roads Act, Environmental Planning and Assessment Act, Environmental Legislation and related Regulations and Codes.
