1 x Permanent Full Time - 35 hours, 5 days per week

Salary: Salary will be dependent upon the relevant skills, experience and competencies of the successful applicant.

Liverpool City Council is rapidly transforming to lead the Liverpool Community through a period of immense change and growth. These changes bring an exciting opportunity for a full time Procurement Business Partner to join the Procurement team.

Your main purpose alongside your day to day operational buying activities will be stakeholder management; to truly understand the business objectives through partnering with the different business units as your internal clients. You’ll translate these insights to ensure the development, management and prioritisation of procurement activities and ensure delivery.  You’ll clarify sourcing strategies to the business to create transparency and buy-in and help shape strategic planning for Liverpool City Council.

Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Providing management, oversight and advice on the creation and management of tender/Quote processes to assigned business units.
  • Providing information, advice, training, guidance and assistance to assigned business units on procurement matters.
  • Stakeholder Management - understanding the business objectives through partnering with the different business units as your internal clients, translating business insights to ensure the development, management and prioritisation of procurement activities and ensuring delivery
  • Focus on improvements opportunities in the current way of working to evolve towards end-to-end value adding projects in which you’ll take a supporting role.

If you have 4+ years of professional experience in a role where networking and higher level stakeholder management is key, have Government Procurement experience*.  If you thrive where you are part of the change to be realized, if your “result focus” keeps you going even when faced with resistance or setbacks and if your active listening skills and relational capacities are your secret weapon to impact and succeed then you are encouraged to apply.
