What’s the job involve?

You will be accountable for a portfolio of existing and prospective customers that have been identified as high value contract acquisition opportunities. Within the portfolio, you will pursue a targeted list of sales opportunities across the following categories:

  • Existing customers identified as having significant strategic growth potential for specific products and/or services.
  • Lost customers that transitioned substantial contracts from AP to competitors.
  • New customers with no revenue footprint across Australia Post.

Throughout the pursuit of these opportunities, you will have end-to-end ownership of its customer accounts including relationships (customer satisfaction/NPS) and financials (revenue and sales). In addition, you will deliver a seamless customer experience by leveraging Australia Post’s subject matter experts across several key streams:

  • Segment Development & Marketing (support on thought leadership, segment strategy and events)
  • Solutions Consultants (support on the design and implementation of business solutions)
  • Product Specialists
  • Sales Operations (support through the development of pricing strategy)
  • Service Specialists (support on service plan execution and issue resolution)

Following successful post-sale on boarding and solution implementation, customers will be transitioned to an Account Management portfolio to enable the role’s continued pursuit of contract acquisition opportunities.

We’re looking for someone with: 

  • Extensive experience designing and implementing customer acquisition strategies for organisations across differing phases of the engagement lifecycle (e.g. new customers, existing customers, and customers lost to competitors).
  • Strong track record of meeting and exceeding sales targets, particularly where no prior relationships exist.
  • Significant experience selling complex B2B solutions to large customers including identifying, qualifying, proposing and closing sales opportunities.
  • Strong proposal writing and delivery experience.
  • Demonstrated commercial acumen.
  • Ability to open communication streams and establish account relationships where none currently exist.
  • Solid experience building long-term trusted advisor relationships with Senior Executive stakeholders (internal and external) and the ability to influence these stakeholders.
