• Located at Council's Works Depot - Gibbes St Chatswood.

In this position you will assist in the maintenance, servicing, inspection and repairs of Council's small plant, large plant and passenger vehicles.

The role requires:

• Trade qualifications as a motor mechanic.
• Extensive experience within the vehicle and plant maintenance industry.
• Sound knowledge of the mechanical, electrical and hydraulic operation of a wide variety of plant and equipment.
• Ability to diagnose faults within plant and equipment and organise appropriate repairs.
• Ability to set priorities and meet deadlines.
• Good interpersonal skills, including good oral communication and the ability to discuss and resolve issues.
• Demonstrated commitment to customer service.
• A good level of physical fitness and able to carry out the duties normally associated with being a mechanic.
• Proven ability to work independently and as a member of a small team.
• Current NSW Class C Driver's Licence.
