Grade 3: $61,408.00 to $67,951.10 (excl. 9.5% super)
Council has two Pool Coordinator positions available at separate locations, being Boggabri and Wee Waa.
The objective of the position is to manage the operations of the Council owned and managed public swimming pool to a to a high standard contributing to the health and well-being of Narrabri Shire residents and visitors. The position requires a person who has a keen interest in the aquatic industry through
to involvement in fitness, learn to swim, coaching or lifesaving and rescue and who demonstrates innovation, personal drive, initiative and excellent customer service and interpersonal skills.
Selection Criteria
Essential:
- Certificate III in Aquatics (Pool Operations), Lifeguard Licence, CPR and First Aid and/or relevant qualifications in aquatics and demonstrated experience in the application of this knowledge to achieve outcomes.
- Previous experience in a similar role at a public swimming pool or aquatic facility or demonstrated ability to apply relevant skills to successfully perform the role.
- Demonstrated experience managing and supervising a team to deliver programs and services consistently, efficiently and effectively.
- Demonstrated ability to use a risk management approach to provide a safe environment for people using public swimming pools for leisure, recreation, fitness, learn to swim or rehabilitation.
- Demonstrated ability to develop and maintain sound working knowledge of LINKS Software and the ability to use Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook and the internet.
- Demonstrated high level problem solving, decision making, time management and task prioritisation skills.
- Demonstrated high standard of customer service skills with the ability to engage with pool patrons and create a public pool atmosphere that is safe, clean and fun.
Desirable
- Qualifications in aquatic fitness, learn to swim, competitive strokes or relevant area.
- Demonstrated experience monitoring and maintaining pool plant and equipment.
- Front line management and supervisory training.
