The role  
Reporting to the Executive Director, Risk Assurance and Information Management, you will be an integral part of the senior leadership team, directly responsible for leading the Department of Health to achieve compliance against the Public Records Act 2002 whilst driving innovation in recordkeeping and information management and deliver strong records governance across the Queensland Health system.   

Through your role, you will foster professional and consultative relationships with Senior Executives, eHealth Queensland, Queensland State Archives and Hospital and Health Services to drive improvements and meet objectives.  You will lead the planning and delivery of strategies, mobilising change to increase the digitisation and electronic storage of records and improvement of business processes relating to record keeping.

The successful person
As the successful candidate you will have demonstrated leadership capabilities and experience in leading and managing the operational aspects of a Branch or Division, including strategic and operational planning in a large and complex organisation.  Your highly developed interpersonal and communications skills, in conjunction with your ability to actively engage, inspire and effectively influence all levels of the organisation and a wide range of external stakeholders will see you succeed in this role.   Additionally, as a subject matter expert, you will be able to provide advanced strategic advice regarding the Public Records Act (2002) and compliance with the Queensland Government Information Standards and policies to key stakeholders.  Furthermore, you will be flexible in your approach; you will have the initiative to operate with a high level of independence, solve complex problems and to act with innovation in situations not covered by existing precedent, building a collaborative and cohesive approach across our system to enhance corporate records governance and information management.
