Glen Eira City Council is seeking a self-motivated experienced Project Management Lead to set up Project management office for corporate projects.
This is a brand new exciting position responsible for working across all levels of the organisation to influence change and drive a 'project management' culture so that planned project outcomes are consistently achieved for Council. To do this, the Project Management Lead will work in collaboration with Glen Eira City Council's newly established Enterprise PMO to implement the Project Management Framework for all 'Corporate Projects' across the organisation. This role will also play a key role in the achievement of Council's strategic objectives committed in the transformation portfolio.
The ideal candidate will be a seasoned, mature and organisationally savvy leader with a broad understanding of project management. Energetic and self-motivated, the ideal candidate will be of a value-driven and customer centric mindset. The individual will be highly process oriented with experience of successfully implementing complex projects in a large organisation.
You will have:
Bachelor's degree in business, project management or related discipline together with significant progressively responsible experience in project management.
Ability to effectively coordinate, manage and prioritise multiple projects with competing priorities.
Demonstrated project management experience in budgeting, documentation, resource management and negotiation skills, including solid experience in process development, administration and workflow management.
The ability to interact successfully and effectively with a variety of contacts from all levels within and outside the Council.
Demonstrated sound written and oral communications skills, including articulate in explanations, with the ability to communicate in a clear positive fashion with internal and external stakeholders, clients, and suppliers, covering highly complex solutions.
The ability to thrive in an environment which encourages self-reliance, initiative and innovative thinking.
Well-developed project management specific software skills.
A current Victorian Drivers Licence.
