• Temp to Perm position - 38+ hours per week
• Pay Rates - Negotiable
• Royal Australian Air Force - Based in Amberley

Programmed are currently seeking an experienced Fitter Armourer based on the RAAF base Amberley. This base I a Royal Australian Air Force military airbase located 8km southwest of Ipswich. This position offers an average 8 hour day and minimum of 38 hours a week spanning from Monday through to Sunday.

Duties include but are not limited to;

• Installation, inspection, repair, modification and reconditioning of any military armaments (ARMO)
• Armament (ARMO) - responsible for weapons, weapon systems and associated test equipment as well as watercrafts and small engines
• Ensuring the workload demand is completed within the designated time frame and to the workshop manuals, quality, safety and environmental standards
• General engineering tasks
• Cleaning and maintenance in accordance with Standard Operating Procedures

Essential Skills / Experience:

• Current and valid driver’s license and reliable vehicle
• Previous experience in a similar role
• Possess excellent problem solving ability
• High level of numeracy and literacy skills
• The ability to gain and maintain an Australian Security Clearance
• Safety Conscious attitude
• Trade Qualification as Mechanical Fitter / Armourer highly beneficial
