The opportunity

We have an exciting opportunity for a Technical Specialist 3 – Testing to be a part of our Signalling & Control Systems team within Sydney Trains.

 

The Signalling and Control Systems business unit supports Sydney Trains and its stakeholders by providing signalling design services, engineering leadership, competence management, assurance, technical support, research and subject matter expertise across the business.

 

This position plays a key role in providing technical expertise in carrying out Factory Acceptance Testing, Site Acceptance Testing, delivery and commissioning of a number of Control Systems projects to meet organisational requirements.

 

Reporting to the Test Manager, the role ensures works are aligned to the agreed scope of works in a financially responsible manner within a safe working environment in compliance with Sydney Trains reliability and quality requirements.

 

We are looking for a qualified electrical engineer or someone with equivalent experience, who has knowledge of railway signalling and train operations, engineering design principles, railway control applications software systems, testing systems, and real time systems.

 

You will have experience in the preparation and review of Systems Test Documentation and in reviewing, analysing and understanding User Requirement, Functional Requirement and Design documents in order to produce comprehensive test documentation.

 

Be part of an exciting and innovative team delivering an in-house developed control system that runs approx. 70% of the railway in the Sydney Metropolitan railways.
