- Salary in the range of $91,555 to $98,635 per annum excluding superannuation
Operating from the Beef and Sheep research, development and extension (RD&E) unit within Animal Science you will lead industry activities to lift the productivity, profitability and sustainability of extensive Beef production systems in north-west Queensland. You will work on a suite of Beef RD&E projects designed to identify, test and promote the adoption of improved herd, land and business management practices. Your beef industry extension will be based on innovative engagement techniques and high-level understanding of beef business complexity. Through your project work you will support drought affected producers while helping industry prepare for, and respond to, the future challenges associated with seasonal variability.
