HOBAN is seeking to engage the knowledge and experience of a Senior Learning Officer for a Federal Government department located in the Brisbane CBD. Commencing ASAP, this is a temporary assignment until January 11, 2019 (based at an APS6 level). Due to the urgency of this role, applications will close at 3pm on Thursday, 18 July 2018 and MUST include a 1 page suitability statement.
The Senior Learning Officer will be responsible for developing education resources that assist stakeholders understand health related Federal Government programs. This position will be including the end-to-end design, development and delivery of quality learning courses and materials.
Reporting to management, you will be responsible for the following accountabilities:
- Create blended approach learning materials that apply adult learning principles
- Ensure learning materials contain consistent messages aligned to division compliance, policies and procedures
- Develop an evaluation framework to determine the effectiveness of learning materials
- Contribute to overall continuous improvement of learning and development initiatives
- Work collaboratively with stakeholders to ensure the creation of and conversion of pre-existing materials to blended delivery
As an experienced Learning Officer, you will possess the following skills and attributes:
This role requires someone who is able to prioritise and manage time effectively, to identify issues and ensure compliance.
- Demonstrated experience in instructional design and learning module development
- Demonstrated experience with exposure to end-to-end training including design, roll-out and blended approach learning system
- Proven knowledge and experience in gap and risk analysis
- Proven knowledge and experience in using learning software (Adobe Creative, Captivate, Photoshop, Dreamweaever, Animate, Illustrator, InDesign or similar)
- Proven knowledge and experience in file transfer protocols (TRT) and associated software (HTML, WCAG or similar).
- Strong ability to quality control eLearning materials to ensure delivery meets compliance requirements
- Strong communication skills and the ability to engage with SME, project teams, senior management etc.
- Tertiary qualification within Education/Training (i.e. TAE) highly desirable
