• General Manager - VIC/TAS Enforcement
• General Manager - Financial Services Unit
• General Manager - Governance and Executive.

Expressions of interest are also being sought for any term and permanent General Manager Band 1 SES opportunities that may arise during 2018/19.
The ACCC is open to candidates working from Adelaide, Brisbane, Canberra, Darwin, Hobart, Melbourne, Perth, Sydney and Townsville. However, depending on the nature of the work, there may be occasions where geographic considerations will take preference in deciding candidate selection.
About General Managers
The ACCC undertakes significant and complex work. We need senior executives who can continue to build our workforce capability and deliver quality outcomes for the Australian economy. To do this, General Managers will need to demonstrate:
• strong intellectual and strategic leadership
• ability to lead a team of people, provide purpose and vision and develop their capability and engagement
• ability to innovate and demonstrate inclusive leadership
• the ability to work with and influence other senior leaders, Commissioners of the ACCC, other government officials (domestic and international), industry bodies and academia.
• tertiary qualifications relevant to the work of the ACCC
• expertise in economic regulation, consumer protection, product safety, competition, regulatory law and practice; and/or governance frameworks for regulators.
• a strong understanding of and interest in the ACCC and AER’s goals to:
o maintain and promote competition and remedy market failure
o protect the interests and safety of consumers and support fair trading in markets
o promote the economically efficient operation of, use of and investment in monopoly infrastructure.
